3151A-Water 3151A Water Valve/EML 100 Actuator 
Woodward’s 3151A Water Valve with EML100 actuator controls water flow to reduce overall emissions of aeroderivative gas turbines.
3151 A Water Valve
The 3151A Water Valve is intended for use with high-pressure, centrifugal-type pumps, and provides controlled bypass flow for pump stability and heat balance considerations. Critical internal parts are constructed of ceramic materials to prevent galling and resist erosion and cavitation in areas subject to high-velocity water streams.
EML 100 Actuator
The 
EML100 Actuator consists of a high performance, brushless servomotor and a precision planetary gearbox with two shaft position resolvers.
The 3151A/EML100 assembly is designed to be used with either the Woodward EM Digital Driver or the more recent Woodward DVP driver. The drivers are calibrated so that the water valve closely follows the fuel flow schedule to prevent unwanted water injection during turbine load swings.

TM-40LP Actuator 
Woodward’s TM-40LP Actuator is an electro-hydraulic unit that receives a 20 to 200 mA control signal and converts the current command into a proportional position of the actuator output shaft. In order to provide additional position accuracy, we can supply an optional position feedback transducer that allows the control system to trim the valve position.

EWMV-Electric-Water EWMV-Electric Water Metering Valve
Woodward’s EWMV (Electric Water Metering Valve) controls water flow to an industrial gas turbine combustion system for reduction of NOX emissions. Our valve and all-electric actuator are integrated for precise control under all operating conditions. The valve section of the EWMV consists of a flow controller and a throttling pressure regulator. The regulator maintains a constant differential pressure across the control plug and seat. Plugs are contoured to provide an equal percent flow characteristic. Since water can result in cavitation problems, the throttling components are made from specialty ceramic materials.
The EWMV is supplied with an integral all-electric actuator that uses a brushless dc motor to drive the valve mechanism. Within the motor assembly is a position resolver that acts as the primary motor commutation and actuator/valve position feedback device. This position signal is used by the external Woodward DVP (Digital Valve Positioner) as feedback in order to properly position the EWMV. A second resolver is attached to the valve stem and acts as a backup to the primary motor resolver. The actuator portion of the EWMV Water Control Valve uses a soft stop spring that prevents the actuator from slamming into the minimum stop position in cases of fault detection.

Universal-Gas-Fuel Universal Gas Fuel, Liquid Fuel, or Water Shutoff Valve (USOV)
Woodward’s USOV provides high-speed shutoff of gas/liquid fuel or water in emergency and normal shutdown operation of industrial gas turbines. The valve operates at pressures up to 900 psia (6.2 Mpa) and, with its all stainless steel construction, assures availability of the valve under all operating conditions. The valve utilizes an internal spring to store the energy required for valve closure within 100 msec of loss of the 24VDC or 125VDC electrical signal to the control solenoid.
Two versions of the USOV are available:
• The two inch USOV will handle either liquid fuel or water.
• The three inch USOV will handle either gas or liquid fuels.

Flow capacities are determined by the fuel or water system’s constraints upon allowable pressure drop across the valve. Both versions of the USOV provide a closed position proximity switch, as well as a fuel/actuation air overboard vent to detect seal wear or contamination concern.
