EG-3P/EG-3PC Electro-Mechanical Proportional Actuators

EG-3P (proportional) and EG-3PC (proportional with compensation) actuators are designed for use on diesel, gas, and gasoline engines, or turbines, and are particularly well suited for use in control systems requiring a proportional mechanical output of a proportional electrical input. Used to control the flow of fuel or other energy source to a prime mover, EG-3P/6P/10P actuators convert an electrical signal to position a proportional rotary output shaft.

UG-Hydro

UG Hydro-mechanical Actuators

Woodward’s UG and UG40 actuators offer the advantages of electronic control and load sharing systems while using the convenient, existing UG-type drives and linkages. The actuators provide the muscle for Woodward analog and digital electronic controls. The actuators can be used with diesel, gasoline, or natural gas engines, as well as with steam and industrial gas turbines. The actuators have a self-contained oil sump, so a separate oil supply is not required.

UG40

UG40 Mechanical Governor

UG-40 mechanical governors provide larger speed turbine speed or load control. Lever speed setting options are primarily for propulsion engines. Steam turbine applications utilize governor drive speeds of 350 to 1050, or 550 to 1300 rpm. Dial or motor speed setting is primarily used for power generation installations.

All UG-40 governors have adjustable compensation. A pointer on the governor sets and indicates the amount of compensation. Compensation allows isochronous speed control.
